We train Tuesdays and Thursdays, with Thursdays being our main training session. Reach out and we will tell you the times and where to come down.

Tap oneNot to start. Since the association made helmets compulsory in 2019, we have kept helmets on hand at games and training for anyone without one. Bring runners and a hat, and ask us what else we can lend.

1st XI win the Shaw Shield
“It’s been a few years in the making,” the club wrote on 15 March 2020. Matt Pryor captained the side that took the Eastern Cricket Association premiership, with Nathaniel Symes, Luke Cleave and Ben Ryan among the twelve.

Two coaches, both off a national title
Rohan Best came in as head coach for 2017/18 with Alex Kerr as his assistant, both straight from winning the National Indigenous Cricket Championships with Victoria. Kerr held the inaugural Lord’s Taverners Australia indigenous scholarship.

Pink Stumps Day raised $1,103.70
A pink afternoon in February 2017: barbecue, afternoon tea, face painting, a raffle, and a Captain’s XI against a President’s XI that the club’s own report says the Captains won “in controversial circumstances”. All of it for the McGrath Foundation.

Our history
Three names,
one club
St James merged with Malvern Valley, which had been St Andrews East Malvern, in 1995, and the two took the field together from 1995/96. We now play at Basil Reserve, and every career record we keep starts at that merger.
