We had a great turnout at the 2017 AGM, with a number of Club Members able to meet and chat with new Head Coach Rohan Best for the first time.
On the night, Ian Harris decided to step down as President of St James Malvern Valley Cricket Club, with Nathaniel Symes being elected to fill this role. Ian has done an outstanding job, working tirelessly for many years to leave the club in a fantastic position as he hands over to Nathaniel. Ian will assume the role of Junior Vice-President to support Nathaniel as he leads the club in to the future. Exciting times ahead!

On Sunday 2nd July St James Malvern Valley Cricket Club will be manning the BBQ at the Chadstone Bunnings.
If you’ve been searching for an excuse to go to Bunnings…this is it!!
There will be plenty friendly St James faces around over the course of the day. Come along for a chat, something to eat, and of course a visit to Bunnings! This is a great opportunity to meet members of the club, particularly for those interested in joining ahead of the new season. We look forward to seeing you!
Looking to build on the coaching structure this season, St James Malvern Valley Cricket Club is thrilled to announce the appointment of Alex Kerr to the role of Assistant Coach for the 2017/18 season. Alex will support Rohan in administering training sessions, teaching and improving player techniques as we strive towards on field success.
Alex began his cricketing career playing Juniors at North Dandenong CC. In 2011 he was awarded the inaugural Indigenous Cricket Scholarship by The Lord’s Taverners Australia. He then played five seasons for North Melbourne CC as an opening batsman, reaching Premier Firsts in the 2014/15 season. Most recently Alex played for Dandenong CC, while also competing in the National Indigenous Cricket Championships.
Like Rohan, he is coming off a high after winning the Championships this year representing Victoria. Speaking with Alex after his appointment he says, “I am super keen to be a part of this club in the new role of Assistant Coach and can’t wait to get going!” So are we Alex!
St James Malvern Valley Cricket Club is excited to announce the appointment of Rohan Best as Head Coach for the 2017/18 season.

We are delighted to have Rohan on board and are counting down the days to Pre-Season!
